Learning in Later Life
I am a board member of:
Ransackers - An `Educational Adventure’ that enables people of 55 + years, who have not previously had the opportunity of higher education, to engage in college life by studying and researching a project of their choosing.
The Association for Education and Ageing - an international membership organisation, open to all, combining the interests of research, practice and policy concerning later life learning in all its forms.
Dr John Miles, Dr Jonathan Hughes and I have started a new initiative, Conversation into Action, working with older people to explore democracy, rights, participation, and learning in later life. The intention is to develop learning materials and study opportunities for older people focused on citizenship, participation and the pursuit of social justice.
